Overview
Punpun Onodera is a quiet, withdrawn boy whose childhood gradually gives way to adolescence and, eventually, adulthood. His ideas of happiness, friendship, love, and his own future collide with a reality shaped by loneliness, family conflict, and inner turmoil. His encounter with Aiko Tanaka becomes both a source of deep attachment and part of his desire to escape the confines of his familiar life. Gradually, his inner world grows increasingly conflicted, while his hopes become harder to distinguish from his fears and self-deception.
